The Fire Marshal investigates fires and performs fire safety inspections. The New Jersey Fire Code requires that whenever a home is being sold, or a rental unit changes occupant, that a Certificate of Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector Compliance be obtained from the local fire code enforcing agency, which in Beverly City is the Cinnaminson Township Fire Marshal’s Office by agreement. Contact the Fire Marshal for safety inspections and to obtain a fire permit.
The Beverly City Fire Sub-code Official functions within the City Construction Office independent of the Fire Commission inspecting properties when there is construction involving renovations, remodeling, and new construction.
