The Fire Official performs the duties of Fire Marshal investigating fires and performing fire safety inspections.  The Beverly City Fire Sub-code Official functions within the City Construction Office, independent of the Fire Commission, inspecting properties when there is construction involving renovations, remodeling, and new construction,  The City of Beverly requires annual fire inspections of all businesses and fire inspections of rental properties and resale of residential properties.  Contact the Fire Official for safety inspections.

INSPECTION FEES for RESIDENTIAL SALE & RENTAL CHANGE of OWNERSHIP and/or CHANGE of OCCUPANCY
Smoke Detector, Carbon Monoxide Alarms & Fire Extinguisher Compliance Inspections:
FEES: (1) Fifty dollars ($50) Inspection fee if notification and request for Inspection is received at least ten (10) working days prior to Settlement Date. (2) One hundred dollars ($100) Inspection Fee if notification and request for inspection is received less than ten (10) working days prior to settlement date. (3) Fifty dollars ($50) additional fee if a re-inspection is necessary to receive full compliance.
